I would Never legally change my name to Kathy Acker, a woodburnt, flat sculpture, was shown in Pyramid Scheme at Bass & Reiner Gallery in San Francisco, CA. It was a chaotic show with over a hundred artists. Perfect smile. My friend, Laura Figa, invited me to participate.
When I made this I was enamored with a few things:
- spontaneity, novelty, improvisation
- this pantheon thing I've been doing for years over and over and over
- Who I Once Was And Who I Am Now
