N Casale is a Boston-based artist, writer, and musician from North Carolina. She is also an engineer, supporting public research on the solar system. N runs the website Grasping Water.
2024
- The Exclamation (2023) is on exhibit in the juried group show, Artists At Work, in Washington, D.C., at the Smithsonian S. Dillon Ripley Center, from March twentieth, twenty twenty-four until March twenty-first, twenty-twenty five.
- A drawing, Repetition Reinforces Itself (2024), and a photograph, Frank Varra's Superposition (2024), were in the juried group show, Borders, Boundaries, and Beyond at Imago Gallery from June 8 to July 13.
2023
- Four-Eyed American Paint Horse Sleeping or Dead in Twenty Twenty-Three was shown in 100 Horse Paintings at The Horse Room in Worcester, MA.
- I would Never legally change my name to Kathy Acker was shown in Pyramid Scheme at Bass & Reiner Gallery in San Francisco, CA.
- Exclamation, a wire sculpture around an obsidian sphere, was shown at the Annex Blues Society Festival on November eleventh in Cambridge, MA, alongside a watercolor I painted in twenty thirteen. The Exclamation was then shown at the Wolbach Library from December into mid-January, twenty twenty-four.
- Musical performances: Once with Ben as "I Curse You!", twice with the Suncook Symphony, once with Janet Fang (alongside Ellie and Ethan), once with Liam in an homage to Jack Rose's "Hart Crane's Old Boyfriends", and four times as Kiki Mellow, a spoken word and ambient project.
2022
- One photograph, Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) (2022), and two paragraphs, in This Skin I'm In, a juried group show that has visited four galleries: Revolve, in North Carolina, ETSU Tipton Gallery in Tennessee, Southwest Virginia Community College in Virginia, and KCKCC Gallery in Kansas City. In late twenty-three, it was meant to visit the OpenArt Festival in Moscow, but it was cancelled due to the hostile sociopolitical climate there. In 2024, UT Knoxville will host the show. - Published in three annual editions of the Windhover, NCSU's magazine. Three Poems were published: "Swan's Song", "Open To Love", and "Greensboro, Again". Four songs were also included, "6-2-15", "I Wear My Ribs Like A Shirt", "Steak At The End of The Rainbow", and "Liberal Bubble".
